Sayulita is a place we hold dear in our hearts. It is only 45min away from our hometown so we have been coming here since we were little kids- It holds incredible childhood memories! Also incredible, is how much it has grown over the last 10 years, and even though it may look entirely different, the cool vibe and the fun boho energy always remains the same.

Coming here was always exciting to us because we knew it involved active beach days of surf lessons, horseback-rides along the sandbar, having the famous choco-bananas after long hours of swimming and eating some amazingly fresh fish tacos. Now that we get to come back, we can re-live those moments and take a trip down memory lane- its pretty amazing.

We usually come for the day or we stay one night in this beautiful town, but this time we enjoyed staying a little longer at Casa Love Sayulita. It really felt like we lived there, the house is so warm and welcoming right in the heart of town that you can't help feeling like a local.
After a long day of running around the beach and having dinner at a new trendy spot called La Rustica, we enjoyed a couple of drinks at Petit Hotel Hafa, which has cool music and an awesome mixology bar.

Another great thing about this town is the amazing cool finds at all the chic boutiques. There are a ton scattered all around town, and if you really get the time to go in and explore each and every one of them, you will find some unique treasures. If you are into special pieces, then you will love all the stands where they sell crochet bikinis, colorful popons as souvenirs, the coolest sarongs and straw hats and all kinds of artisanal crafts and accessories.

The main beach is probably the most iconic, packed with surfers and SUP boards, perfect to take some surfing lessons, or to watch the locals rip the waves. A little further, past the cemetery there is another beach called Playa Los Muertos (hence the name). A little better for just swimming, since the waves tend to be smaller.

Always happy to spend time in this charming and special place. If you have been here before, you know what we are talking about!
