We wanted our last post of 2014 to be a sister post and showcase our styles together. We usually shoot each other, so we rarely get to be in the same picture, so you can't really notice the bond we have for one another and how we influence each other, and yet have our own personal style. Reflecting on this year, we overcame several challenges that we don't like to admit sometimes, but it's always hard to come back to your country when you've lived abroad for so long and start fresh again. This time last year we didn't necessarily want to be back home. I think it was all about adjustments and appreciating and focusing on what you have instead of what you think you want. We are really grateful to have had the opportunity to travel within our own country for a change and explore further the beauty it has to offer. It's so nice to be able to promote the best places of our nation and showcase mexican fashion as well. We have come to realize that its not about the place you are in, its about who you are with. We are just so happy we still get to be together not only as family but as best friends.

Hope you have a great year and spend it with loved ones!

With NYE  just around the corner, its not too late for some last minute outfit ideas! When you think of New Year's the first thing that comes to most people's minds are flashy outfits and sequined dresses. I tend to stay away from these. Whilst you still want to be "festive" I believe its wiser to find a toned-down sophisticated look that is still appropriate for the occasion. In my opinion, velvet is a good way to achieve that. This dress is sleek and classic, and by pairing it with a masculine blazer that is also a lighter shade of velvet, you get a playful result. Its rare for me to go completely girly in the way I dress so I always strive to make dresses fit my style by making different pairings. But if you are not like me, this dress by itself is a very flattering fit. Still a great way to get the perfect NYE look: sultry and tasteful.

Best wishes to everyone this holiday season!

We spent this week in Guadalajara, and finally got some sweater weather to get in spirit for winter season! We did a little Christmas shopping for friends and family and got to stroll around the city.

While there we finally went to Hospicio Cabañas for the first time.  Originally a hospice built in the beginning of the 19th century to provide care and shelter for the disadvantaged, now serves as a museum showcasing several murals by one of the greatest Mexican artists of the period :José Clemente Orozco and it currently has several interesting and quirky exhibitions that are not to be missed. We really enjoyed the POGO exhibition in particular, we highly recommend it for anyone that happens to be in town!

I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas and receive lots of gifts!

It had been a while since we had a proper getaway to the beach, where we could really put our minds in blank and enjoy the moment. Sometimes people think that because we live by the water that we must go to the beach every single day, but nothing could be further from the truth. The irony is, once you live here it starts to get difficult to find the time to truly get away and enjoy a nice day at the beach. We usually have to wait for the weekend.

I do recall however, growing up here and finding the time to squeeze a beach day after school here and there on weekdays, or having a morning and afternoon jog at the beach. How things change as you grow older and you find yourself with less and less time to spare. That's why when we do get some time off, we do it the right way, by going completely off the radar to remote beaches!

Back in San Pancho, and the main reason why we love coming back here is because the air is so pure and the vibe so undemanding. Life is suddenly simplified to the point where shoes are not even required. There's beauty everywhere you look, and amidst somewhat troubled times for our country, at least here with so much beauty surrounding us, we can keep reminding ourselves why Mexico is such a magical place. And despite the circumstances we mexicans, should never lose our joy for living, and our distinctive way of always staying happy even in the face of hardship. "Al mal tiempo, buena cara"

On our recent trip to Guanajuato we saved a day to explore San Miguel de Allende. It was so much fun to walk around the city's charming and colonial streets and visit the majestic Church of San Miguel. Definitely a beautiful place to visit! Its a great place to feel inspired by the folklore and colors of our beloved Mexico. Hope you like the photos! xxx

To end our trip, we made a lost stop at Guadalajara to experience a bit of city life. It was really fun to walk around Chapultepec and have coffee on one of the trendy places surrounding this happening area. It was a bit chilly at night and warm during the day so its always good to carry a leather jacket in case you need to make a transition from day to night. Greetings from Guadalajara!

This was a very fun shoot to do! and not only because we are twinning but also because we embarked on a field trip where we discovered new sceneries and got in touch with nature. Funny enough these pictures are all from the journey and not the destination, but since the road we took was so fantastic and isolated we had to make a few stops to take some snaps. We ended up being attacked by mosquitoes, but still this was one of our favorite rides.
