WINTER'S TALE

Cynthia wore...
An all Zara Outfit

Mexico City is known for its unpredictable weather, going from hot to cold without warning and making it extremely difficult to decide what to wear in the morning. We do our best, but have been switching from summer outfits to winter ones more frequently than you know!
When it is cold outside, we have a lot of fun playing around with faux fur pieces. This one is perfect for when its too hot for a coat but too cold for just a light jacket. Also it automatically amps up a casual outfit!

We are curious to know how you guys feel about faux fur pieces and how you wear them!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week and is as excited as we are that Christmas is just around the corner!

Have a great day!
xx

PENNY LANE

Amanda wore...

Faux Fur Coat: Zara
Top: Topshop
Jeans: Zara
Booties: Zara
Sunglasses: Karen Walker

Is it faux-fur weather yet? Yes it is! Love this coat I recently got at Zara last weekend, since the temperature has been dropping drastically. It is not only super fun to wear and makes you feel like taken out of the "Almost famous" movie, but it will keep you warm and with fuzzy feelings. Believe it or not, Mexico City can get pretty cold, and so I'm already pretty much set for the holiday season. Winter is coming guys! Time to bundle up and bring out the big coats.

PATCHWORK

Cynthia wore...
Boots: Elie Tahari
Sunnies: Zara
Shirt and Skirt: Zara

We have been  spending a lot of time outdoors and exploring around town, enjoying the fall weather. One of my favorite trends this year is pairing over the knee boots with different skirts. I love this suede skirt from Zara which is perfect to pair with any type of shirt and you have a day to casual night look. I wore this look to an art gallery opening and it was a perfect ensemble for when you want to be fun and flirty but not feel overdressed for an event. We will be posting way more outfits on our Snapchat (cynthiasp15) so you get more ideas on what to wear on your daily life. Hope you like this outfit.

GREEN SUEDE

Amanda wore...
Top- Zara
Skirt-Zara
Boots-Zara

Transitioning from summer to fall  can be a bit tricky at times, but  always a ton of fun in our opinion. Since we only get very few weeks in which we can get away with wearing a light sweater and a mini skirt, we need to take full advantage of this and start having fun and getting creative! (before its time to cover all  up in layers!) Suede skirts are perfect for these kind of transitions, and especially in dark colors that are ideal for fall. Pair it with a solid color sweater and some boots, and it makes up for those chilly mornings and sunny afternoons.

AUTUMN

''

Cynthia wore...
Cape: Mango
Sunglasses: Zara
Thigh-high boots: Elie Tahari
Shirt & Skirt: Zara

Its Autumn in the city and we are loving everything about this weather! As you may already know, we love to move to different cities and embrace foreign cultures. After spending so much time abroad, we realized that one of the things we had never done before was to actually move to a city in our own country. How can you even begin to explain the beauty of Mexico City without actually having experienced living there? So here we are, writing this post from our new home, and starting a whole new adventure! But what we are most excited about is finally getting fall season and getting to wear coats!

ISLANDER

Amanda wore..
Blouse: Zara
Shorts: GJG Denim

Our days in Holbox were almost like a dream. We spent hours biking all over the island to discover new areas and find exotic birds and pristine beaches. The island seems very small, but in reality there are miles of deserted beaches that you can only get to if you rent a bike or a golf-cart. It was fantastic to wake up  and go on mini adventures every day, and make quick stops in places that were perfect for a swim, to rest with a good book or to take pictures of amazing sceneries and peculiar fauna. If you find yourself in this island, don't be afraid to explore outside the town! Do allow yourself to get lost and stumble upon mesmerizing spots away from crowds - This was our favorite thing to do! We are having major withdrawals because you could say that by the end of our trip we were feeling like locals!

MAWIMBI

Cynthia wore...
Fringe vest: Zara
Shorts: Zara
Hat: Vintage
Sunnies: Zara

We loved our experience in Holbox so much last week! It was our first time in the island and it exceeded our expectations. A place we really enjoyed and kept returning to was Mawimbi Hotel and Beachclub, it is such a chill place where the people make you feel at home. Whether you like to relax on the hammocks with a good book all day or have lunch with an ocean view, this little piece of heaven offers it all. Our favorite time of the day was around 6pm or 7pm, when the sun was setting and you could enjoy a cocktail with fuchsias and bright purples filling the sky.

SIESTA

Cynthia wore...
Swimsuit: Peixoto
Cover up: Topshop
Hat: Vintage (Italy)

We are back in Mexico for the summer! and wow its been really warm! The only great way to spend your vacation time is by the ocean, with a good read. As a little girl I always loved going to visit John Huston's house at Las Caletas and enjoy the private beach away from town.  Although it has become now one of the main tourist attractions in Puerto Vallarta, we still love to go there and hang out by the hammocks with a good book and have some mexican food with a view. It was really great to reminisce about our childhood and spend quality time with family.
Hope you are all enjoying the summer!

PRETTY IN PINK

Amanda wore...
Jumpsuit: Zara
Sunglasses: Zara

Its been quite a few years since we've been back to Los Angeles. It was so spectacular because we have a vast amount of childhood memories in this amazing city. Since we were babies our vacations always included California and of course Disneyland and Universal Studios. This time though, it was a whole different kind of experience, and even though it was quick, it was lovely. We were super happy to get to see friends and family and spend quality time with them in the most perfect weather! Unbelievable how perfect the climate can be here.

This time around we got to explore a few areas that we loved and come back to the ones we knew but didn't quite remember. Melrose Avenue of course is always fun, with its colorful walls and variety of cool stores. Silverlake is so happening and full of trendy cafes/restaurants  and stores! Beverly Hills is always nice for brunch. We wish we could've made time for Venice Beach, because we absolutely love it, but jet-lag was being very unkind! We don't worry though, there will definitely be a next time very soon.

Im always a little discouraged by the color pink, its extremely rare to see me in bold colorful outfits. Usually I stick to black and white, but who knew the perfect jumpsuit could change my mind? Im not gonna lie, its super fun to wear. It can also be adapted to almost any occasion. Proof that you should always be willing to take a risk!

California thanks for your sunshine!
