THAI GETAWAY

Amanda wore... [Crop Top: Free People, Blouse: Mango, Wide-Leg Pants: Mango, Shoes: Topshop]

Our days in Sukhothai were anything but dull! The weather surprised us with some rainfall, but that didn't stop us from riding our bikes all over the Historical Park. Somehow this place brought nice memories of my bike rides in Bali, I think it had something to do with the bright greeneries and the high levels of humidity. The air was dense but the sight of all the colorful vegetation gave me an exhilarating sense of freedom. Sukhothai means "Dawn of Happiness" in thai, and I understood why. Not even the cloudiest of skies could wipe the smile off my face!

I wore this outfit since it has a laid-back retro feel, which I love. These wide-leg pants (courtesy of Mango) are super comfy, which is always a plus! I threw on a white blouse on top because of the rainy weather, but you can rock it with just a crop-top on a sunny day. I always like to experiment.

DREAMCATCHER: FRINGES

Cynthia wore...[Fringe Cover up: Topshop, Blouse: H&M, Shorts: Zara, Necklace: Soda/Free me]

We went to Sukhothai this week, a city 7hours away from Bangkok and once known as the capital city of Thailand. Getting there was such an adventure! from bus rides to tuk-tuks to riding on bicycles in the rain, we loved every second of it. We had a blast taking pictures at the incredible Historical Park where we explored every single temple and admired the impressive ruins. It really is a dream place! I decided to wear a white-on-white ensemble and added a tie-dye fringe cover up in order to give it some color. It proved to go with the mood of the surroundings and I really like how the pink really pops up! What do you think?

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Amanda wore..
Blouse: Mango
Denim Shorts: Levis
Bag: Mango
Shoes: Zara
Sunglasses: Vintage

The most simple combination: Easy and practical! Destroyed denim shorts with a white long sleeve blouse. I wore it with heels to give it a dressier look and because I am currently obsessing on how comfortable these new shoes are, but you may even rock this look with some Converse or some Vans! Be bold and play around with it. Try it with a colorful blazer or a black vest! you'd be amazed at how great this very simple ensemble can prove to be.

SECRET GARDEN

Cynthia wore...

Denim Shirt: Zara
White Top: H&M
Skirt: Zara
Boots: Topshop
Bag: Marc Jacobs
Sunglasses: Prada

Amanda and I love to try new coffee spots around Bangkok. We found this very trendy venue in Thonglor called Bad Motel where we  had to stop to enjoy some coffee at their beautiful garden terrace. I wore a denim shirt over a simple white shirt, and matched it with a beaded skirt to give it a fun twist in order to achieve casual/chic! It was a perfect evening to enjoy some outdoor drinks in the sunny Bangkok weather.

BANGKOK FRAGMENTS

Amanda wore..

Onesie: American Apparel
Shorts: Levis
 Jersey: Vintage Market
Booties: Topshop
Clutch: Mango

Reason number 1 why we love living in Thailand: THE VINTAGE MARKETS! Wearing this Jersey (current new acquisition & obsession) that I got on a Thai market for only 300baht which is about $10! You could even probably get it for less if you know how to bargain, but Im terrible at it, so $10dlls did it for me :)
My casual friday outfit was complete with this new piece! hope you enjoy my ride around BKK

TEXTURES IN B&W

Cynthia wore:

Dress: Paulina Katarina
Shoes: Dian Von Furstenberg

A perfect dress to make a statement. Following the "leggy trend" movement with this sleek look. Loved the texture since the moment I saw it, it brought a playful side to the elegance of the design. It is also an extremely comfortable piece by this new designer, whom I discovered on my trip to Bali! check out her brand if you get a chance, very unique collection,. Wish I could get some more for my closet. You may also wear a sweater on top and make it into a more casual look, its always fun to turn dresses into skirts on a casual day.
